2000 Skoda Octavia the car is slow, no boost when i put my foot down??.

Check hoses , pipes

is fuel pump working

check all the small black plastic vaccuum lines especially where they pass around the back of the engine and around the turbo they can rub thru on other pipes etc. do you see the turbo actuator move when it starts (you will have to watch it whilst someone turns the key,oh and make sure the big pipes are not split where they go in and out of the intercooler

if your car is not boosting but you can hear the turbo whistleing away then its the waste gate actuator not holding the waste gate closed there for you will not get the boost most likely need a replacement actuator

I had this problem intermitinantly for some time turned out to be the the Air mass meter needed replacing, once done It solved the problem excelleration now as new.
