2005 Skoda Octavia cruise control

Since I bought the car in 2009 the Cruise Control hasn't worked. I've no idea why it doesn't; can't find a fuse for it anywhere in the handbook. Any thoughts?

Could check the cruise on/off switch which is a common fault .Also switches at pedals .

Skoda octavia cruise control was ok but now works once when travelling but then stops working unless key is taken from ignition and replaced and cycle starts again
