2006 Skoda Octavia auto box noise

dsg auto box works fine,but a little concerned about a whoeing sound,not loud, just like in the background,is this normal,car has done 66,000 miles,

Take it gearbox has been serviced o.k ? i.e as confirmed on another forum .
Your dealer should be well aware that the oil in the DSG ( Direct Shift Gearbox) MUST be changed at 40K miles -- Failure to do this will invalidate any warranty - and could well shorten the life of the gearbox. Oil changes are critical on these -- Failures are well known and Expensive
Again - 40K miles is the manufacturers stipulated change time - so my advice is to be sure it gets done - for your pockets sake as well as the life of box!
