Gearstick warning message

I get an intermittent warning message on dash, telling me to put (automatic) gear lever in PARK before exiting the vehicle, WHILE I'm in Drive, WHILE Driving!

Never heard of that one . Contact VW dealership , may be a known fault and possibly software update to correct it .
