got clattering from gearbox area when hot,and idle speed,,drives spot on,if you rev over 1000 rpm it stops ,been doing it few month now,clutch works fine,and gears,any help on this please

I had this with my scout. It was picked up at service in August and flagged as "monitor". Noise went away after 2 weeks. 4,000 miles later suddenly whine from gearbox in 2/3rd gear. Car now at agents with knackered clutch, dmf , hole in bellhousing, no oil and big bill. Get the dmf checked ASAP!!!!!
