Car Stops Accelerating

2003 Skoda Octavia
Car: Skoda Octavia
Year: 2003
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Not sure how to explain this but my 2003 skoda octavia stops accelerating when I am driving it. It can be at any speed, it will just stop accelerating. The engine keeps running like it is idling. I normally wait a few seconds and drop the car into lower gear and then it will go again. Some times it only last a couple of seconds some times more. Kind of like the car is in neutral when running. I already replaced the timing belt, and fuel filter. Not sure what can be wrong with it. I also hooked it up to the computer and no error codes came up.

Check the clear pipe close to the filter. They leak air terribly, had loads of the Turkish boys come to me to sort out the seals in the top of the filter. The one I'm on about is the return pipe that goes into the filter under that clip that looks like a mouses head lol.

Could be loads of different things but as you say without codes its frustrating
