2010 Skoda Octavia radio turns on and off

My radio has recently decided to automatically turn it self on and off - somes times up to several times in a minute. The parking sensor does not display on the radio screen - also an intermittent problem although the parking sensor does omit the sound okay. I have reset all the setting back to the factory defaults but to no avail - any suggestions welcome!

Did you find anything out since your question? I now have a very similar problem. The radio will sometimes not work at all. On pressing the on/off/ volume button the light around it will briefly flash and then nothing. The display of the parking sensors also doesn't work although the sound of the sensor does.
The radio sometime works and sometimes doesn't. No amount of repeat hitting on and off or any other radio buttons will do the trick.
Any ideas anyone?

Hi i have skoda octavia 1.9 tdi 2009 year.I have problem with my radio. When i turn it after like few minutes he start to automatically turn it self on and off . I dont know solution for this problem i dont know what part of the radio is now working properly. Please help me :) Thanks

The problem was solved by changing the base of the ignition switch.
