As car was started there was a loud bang followed by a cloud of smoke.
The inlet manifold was shattered with pieces of black plastic in the engine compartment.
Would like details of other owners experience of this or similar incidents.
Cause of the damage is not known.
Should I spend money on getting the engine running again. What is the chance of the incident recurring.
Car is low mileage,regularly serviced with main dealer and had been serviced shortly before the incident.
