2006 Skoda Octavia electric mirrors not working

Year: 2006
Variant: 1,9TDI

Both of the electric Mirrors are not working currently - but did not stop working at the same time. I have checked the Instruction Book but it does not list a particular Fuse for the Mirrors individually or together. Should I remove the Mirror Glass or is there any benefit to be derived from that?.

Would moving them manually in all directions to the full extent of their movement be a help or a hindrance?

Any suggestions?

I would guess its the switch itself rather than the individual mirrors. Take the switch out and have a look to see if there is anything obvious.
