Squeaking clutch/brakes/steering wheel?

2003 Skoda Fabia 1.2
Car: Skoda Fabia
Year: 2003
Variant: 1.2
Categories: Leaks & Noises
Hi there.
My skoda has recently started to exhibit a very annoying and worrying habit of squeaking whenever I change gear, brake or, sometimes, turn the steering wheel. It is definately worse when pressing the clutch in though. Its so bad now that I have to turn the radio up to drown out the squeaky noises. Unless I have robot mice living under the bonnet, I suspect there might be a problem.
If it helps, I suspected that my brake pads were wearing down for a while, but as that problem normally happens quite quickly from diagnosis to the need for them being fixed, and my brakes dont seem to be getting any worse, Im not sure whether it is the pads after all.
Non of the warning lights are flashing up on the dash, btw.
I hope some kindly person can lend me the benefit of their experience and save me splashing out on expensive repairs.
Thanks

sounds like a possible clutch release bearing or loose auxilary belt tension. or possible gearbox/driveshaft. hard to tell without seeing it!!
hope this helps!!!
