Strange electronic sound at 50mph only

There is a strange 'zinc zink' electronic noise when I drive at 50mph. Everything works, the sound only occurs at 50mph and there are no warning lights. Any ideas what it could be? Sounds like it's coming from around the speedo area but I can't be sure..
