Auto dimming mirror not working.

Green indicator light shows that it has power but is not dipping when vehicles are behind me, unable to dip manually so getting dazzled all the time when driving at night. Unable to find any cures on line or in the owners manual.

With engine running , does it not alter when you cover sensor at rear of mirror ?
