Seen it happen before on other makes , windows going down overnight .If they cant find a fault , hard to fix . Even with the windows open they would have to bypass the immobiliser to steal car .Cant see how if reported no fault found after examination and a week of checks you could be held responsible and insurance voided .How would insurance know about the previous episode unless you told them ?

funny that, cos dealship have claimed and said they never heard of this problem on cars before!!!! yet u have said u have and another seat dealship have said yes they have.. all they done is dry car out which took over a wk, they wont even look at what the problem might be, surley they should make an attempt to look at the elctrics of the car, as they are electric windows and alarm.. my husband is a mastertech for another dealership and he had said common fault on these cars, and electrics would be the 1st thing to look at.

Probably global opening function has been activated, which is a function that can normally be switched off,not sure how to on your model perhaps your handbook will help.

The water darainage from under the bonnet is a snag on some Volkswagen /Seat models . Check that the plennum chamber is'nt blocked with dead leaves . Tip some water down the back, better still a hose pipe and see if it doesn't back up and flow down throught the heater ducting isside the car and flow under the carpet inside and short out the central locking module .You should see a flow of water running out of the bottom of the front wings . You may need to take the back of the plastic under wing covers and poke out the build up of muck that can gather there .

This is really easy to fix. There is a feature used only in Spain allowing the driver when approaching their vehicle to lower all the windows to cool the car off when it has been in the sun. This works with the unlock button and requires it to be held down for more than 5 secs - This is not mentioned in the handbook - So - The problem is that the facility for the windows to go down needs "rubbing out" of the cars computer. The problem can be fixed in 2 mins by a Seat dealer. It seems that "windows command" can be set off by external interference like perhaps a mobile phone or other electrical equipment. It might even be your outside light sensor - Whatever? Rub it out of the program and the problem is fixed. SEAT dealer all say "I've never heard of the problem" That is what SEAT tell them to say - but they know about it - believe me.
