Car Radio turning on by itself

When car is stationary the car radio will turn itself on and the volume is up to the maximum. Car has not been used for hours and radio is switched off when leaving car but when you go back to car the radio has turned itself back on.

It could be a problem with the car radio itself by the sound of it. If you have a spare radio switch them over and see if it happens again. It helped me with my problem of the same kind.
