2004 Seat Altea engine cut out

Car: Seat Altea
Year: 2004
Variant: 2.0 TDI sport
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
the engine on my SEAT cuts out whilst driving.Literally the engine just cuts out. After a short while the engine can be restarted but will cut out again soon after. The longer i leave it before re starting the longer the engine will keep going before it cuts out again.

The only fault that the AA could find on their diagnostic machines is the TPS censor at idle reads 95.2 and i am told this should normally be between 5-15

No engine faults codes appear on a standard test, they had to manually scroll through to the TPS reading to find anything wrong

Is this more than just a censor failure?

sounds like your fuel pump may well be overheating and cutting out, it must be heat related as you say it gets better the longer its left, next time it cuts out listen for the pump buzzing when ign turned on.
