clutch pedal has been getting stiff to pushdown and slow to return to top . parked car up on friday went to move car on sunday selected revers gear car didnt move selected all gears car wont drive [ can select gears when engine running clutch up ]cant stall the engine/no drive 60k mls

If not driving ,sounds as if clutch collapsed / sheared .Could also check if any driveshafts broken .

Could be that the clutch cable has seized internally. If this is the case,it is VERY dangerous to have the engine running, as the clutch could release without notice.
Locate where the clutch cable meets the lever on the gearbox. Push the lever towards the cable to see if it moves or releases completely.
DO NOT have the engine running. DO NOT leave the car running without someone in the drivers seat, until you're sure what the problem is.

clutch lever stiff to move/fixed this by spraying wd40 into lever shaft and moving back/forward until free cheap repair
