Where do each end of the advance and retard tube go i know the end on the distributor, but cannot remember the other end

Am trying to restore a rover 80 which has been laid up for over 20 years and i have come to a place called stop as i cannot remember where the oposite end to the distributor goes Also i appear to have a oil pressure point on top of the oil filter with just a tube connection thread and a electric cable already there, again it is a case of stripping so long ago but what does concern me is that i do not appear to have any tube or pipes to fit there. Sorry to be so thick , but please can you help me I am now in my eights and cannot remember where these bits fit.
