the car starts ok but whem its driving it seems to miss & splutters and somes it will cut out altogether

JUST NOTICE THAT THE SPEEDO NOT WORKING CHECKED BOTH ENDS OF THE SPEEDO CABLE TO SEE IF THEY HAVE COME LOSE BUT THEY HAVEN'T, ANY SOLUTIONS WILL HELP THANKS

Probably broken inner cable .Surprised a car of that year still had a cable as opposed to speed sensor .

hi i checked the connector on the gearbox and spun the cable and the speedo needle moved also notice it does have a power cable aswell

checked all leads and spark plug connectors still spluttering and trying to cut out been told to get a dianostic test but what does that do thanks

Have you tested leads with a meter to make sure they are ok. ? Could be coil pack fault . A diagnostic test scans engine for faults and gives out codes . Is speedo cable turning ok from gearbox end ?

FOUND THE PROBLEM WITH THE SPEEDO THE DRIVE LINK WAS MISSING SO I BYPASSED THE SENSOR
