1998 Rover 75 no acceleration

Car: Rover 75
Year: 1998
Variant: se Auto
Categories: Engine & Drivetrain
My car is very slow, it doesnt generate enough engine power to move as quick as it was when i first bought it.Dont know if it needs oil change, filter change and plugs changes; those sort of things.
Please can anyone help; if that is the case, how do i change the oil filters and the plugs?

You would be best to get a diagnostic check carried out , especially if car has not been serviced for a while .This should let you know if it's a fault with engine or possibly auto box .

if you do get a diagnostic done and no faults are shown, would also check that the head gasket is`nt blown, then check and renew the gearbox oil as well as changing the flugs and filters, depending on what size engine you have fitted the rear spark plugs are tricky to change if you have v6 as there is an access panel on the bulkhead that you need to remove for access,if its a 4 cylinder then the plugs are straight forward,

if car hasnt been serviced for a good while eg 10000miles or 6 months get it serviced and also get diagnostic test done for faults
