2001 Rover 75 abs light comes on

The abs light comes on about 20 secs after the engine has started and stays on!
Any help?

abs fault but to save money you need to have it plugged in to diagnostic equipement to locate the faulty sensor

I had exactly the same problem with my Rover 420. I ended up having to fit a new Alternator on. I have had no problem since. Put a Volt meter across the battery. If the Alternator is putting out more than 14.5 this will certainly cause the problem that you are having.
