Clutch Problem

2002 Rover 75 2.0CDT 120,000 miles
Car: Rover 75
Year: 2002
Variant: 2.0CDT 120,000 miles
Categories: Gearbox & Clutch
I have suddenly developed a problem where I cannot select gears. For a while the clutch pedal has been gripping at full push. Right now at full depression the gears cannot be selected ... by holding the gear stick, the car will move slightly, but gears not fully engaged.
I have been able to drive it but and the problem seems to disappear once travelling. But the last couple of days has become increasingly impossible.
So I am wondering whether this is a pedal adjustment, or the clutch needs replacing?

if you have a cable operated clutch it may need adjustment if not then check to make sure you dont have a fluid leak and that the clutch master cylinder doesnt need bleeding. If all this is ok then the clutch will need replacing
