2001 Rover 75 hot days and slow moving traffic.

On hot days in slow moving traffic my car "moans" at me and is reluctant to go. It often neccesitates me to switch off the engine and restart as the queue moves forward.The sound resembles a very upset stomache. Any ideas ?

Maybe an air lock in the cooling system. Try bleeding the system first. Also try changing the fuel filter...
