hi new to this site and ecus!im considering buying this rover but and it is a big but the car is in limp mode the guy says he found water inn the plennum and he has swapped some ecus but the car will not come of limp mode ive done some reading up on internet and read thru my haynes book i dont think he done anything recommended the car as done 160000 and is immaculate its a 2003 and is an automatic the price for it is very reasonable any ideas or suggestions on how to proceed are most welcome cheers

You are basically buying a can of worms, i would image the ecu has been flooded as is a common fault on these, if you are not up to speed on ecus and engine management you could be throwing alot of money away, at 160k the engine and gearbox would be well used and could cause you further problems, my advise to you would be to walk away, unless you are paying peanuts for the car
