i have just bought a my mg zt 1.8 turbo petrol and it as started smoking when i drive it the smoke is white and smells like burning oil it still drives ok

These cars are notorious for cylinder head faults,gasket,cracked head,You could check the spark plugs are all the same colour as a starting point

if not head gasket you could be looking at a turbo fault

sounds like head gasget but just incase check water and oil levels to see if they do change alot
