Trouble starting in a morning when cold

2000 Rover 400 420 SDI

Year: 2000
Variant: 420 SDI

In a morning when its cold my car takes a bit to start, doesnt happen every day but on most days. once its been started its fine for the rest of the day. when it does start it kicks a lot of blueish smoke out, could it be the glowplugs?
any help is appreciated

Yes it does sound like you may have a plug or two not working
