2000 Rover 25 hazard lights not working

Car: Rover 25
Year: 2000
Variant: 1.6 Manual
Categories: Leaks & Noises
Hello. This morning a fuse blew. This was fuse no 1 that controls the indicators and the instrument panels. So I replaced this with the 10 amp fuse from slot no 3 (CD player) so that I could get to Halfords to buy a spare. I then replaced the 10 amp fuse in slot No 1. So now my indicators and instrumnts work okay, the only thing is that the hazards do not work. When I push the hazard button on the dash, the triangle light comes on on the instrument panel, but nothing else happens. Any ideas please? Thanks in advance

you need to check the hazzard warning lamp relay

the hazards and indicators share the same relay so if the indicators work ok then chances are the relay is ok,check the wiring to hazard switch, and check the switch is not sticking, you can remove the hazard switch by levering it gently with flat screwdriver
