2000 Rover 25 luggage compartment light on when boot shut

Car: Rover 25
Year: 2000
Variant: 1.6 manual

The problem has just started where the warning light on the dash has come on that the boot is open and the the luggage compartment light is on even though the boot is shut, but when you open the boot the warning and compartment lights go out. Can't seem to find the switch/sensor to sort it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as have had to remonve the bulb to stop draining the battery.
