Noisy tappetts

2003 Rover 25 160ZR

I have a problem with Rover 160ZR regarding noisy tappetts. Replaced all 16 and some are still losing pressure so eventually replaced the block as I was advised it could be oil pump - its now twice as bad with tappett noise. The block i replaced it with it a freelander 1.8 wld that make any difference. Also i still have the front of the car jacked up wld that make a difference to the oil pressure. Any advice would be much appreciated and of great help. Many thanks

check the cam carrier is`nt leaking,do you have the vvc head fitted or standard head, only other thing is to change the engine oil making sure you put correct oil in and make sure the vehicle is on level ground, the tappets should pump themselves up when engine has been run up,are you sure the noise is coming from tappets?
