can anyone help me i have 1.6 sli rover 25 and would like to put a 2 litre engine in it. can i put it on the 1.6 gearbox or will i have to get a 2 litre gearbox

the 1.6 engine uses a r65 box and the 2.0 engine uses a pg1 box,so you need to get the pg1 box with gear linkage and clutch controls if you are fitting a 2.0 lump.as well as ecu and engine loom for a 2.0

Depending on the year of car and value , is it worth all the hassle and expense ?
