enginge warning light flashes when im going down hill but if i take it out of gear it stayes off

Check oil level , coolant level , and brake fluid level in case it's something simple like one of those first .If it persists , need to get it scanned .

when the light comes on,does the engine run rough or misfire etc

no it runs fine just flashes it stops when i go up hill the light that is

no it runs fine when i go up hill it goes out then back on when i go down hill

as advised already check all your fluid levels are ok,if all fine then get a diagnostic done,are you sure it is the engine management light coming on?
