2002 Rover 25 windscreen wipers

the windscreen wipers don't work properly when i turn them on they don't work but if i use the quick wipe it works properly untill i let go then it stops where it is then other times they can work ok. not sure weather to replace switch or moter ! please help

Usually contacts inside wiper motor cause of this fault .
