Heater fan only works flat out ? [would it be best to replace ]

when i use the heater fan i can only use it on full power.so now my windows keep misting up as i am fed up of the noise

Just replace the rheostat - easy to replace just difficult to locate in some cars. Should cost around £30, no need to replace the fan.
