2000 Rover 25 non starting

well if you have spark and the engine is turning over the only thing can only be fuel starvation ie blocked fuel filter that sort of thing or even no fuel in the tank or not enough fuel check for fuel delivery to the engine

check timing

these suffer from the coil shorting out you will still have a spark at the plugs but will find it will not start as it is weak if you can get someone to crank it over and look down at the coil you can usually see it arking out was caught out myself by this because i had spark and fuel looked for something else but it turned out to be the coil

hi checked timing all ok but still not starting

fuel all fine coming through but still not starting

check all that working fine because swapped over to afriends vehicle all working on his car but still not starting

does it have an injector pulse check it with a noid light to see if it flashes when cranked also if it has a good spark dont rule out the spark plugs

My 2002 Rover 25 have a similare problem it doesn't start first time, when it starts it takes at least a couple of minutes before you can drive off otherwise it gerks and move realy slowly.then it drives fine till i switch of the engine and leave it for an hour and its the same issue over agin. is this easely repaired or do i need a trip to a mechanic

rover 25 cranks over got spark but dont start could it be the headgasket gone which is causing this problem tried everything which was suggested.
