If heater blower motor is what you are referring to , check fuse .If heater control knob , sometimes clip that holds outer cable can break bur really need to follow cable to see what it is attached to and check operation .Check coolant level and oil level for signs of head gasket gone .Rover 25 notorious for head gaskets .

Is it the heater control knob from hot to cold ? Is the heater motor working ?

its the numbered knob when I drive I can feel the heat coming thru it from the engine but doesn't blow

Sound like you only need a new heater knob , they are always breaking .Get one from a scrapyard for pennies or the dealer which will be dearer .You will be getting heat when driving as air is forced into car .Heater motor wont be operating if switch not turning to different speeds .

Forgot to add , knob usually just pulls off and you can see if it is split / knackered .
