if i drive more than 6miles just cuts out on me.have noticed fan has stopped coming on and steam comes from bonnet any ideas please.

Car is obviously over heating and needs checking and repaired asap .Those cars are notorious for cyl head gaskets going also which could be your problem .A block test would confirm or not if head gasket gone .Could check why fan not coming on first and coolant level .
