Radiator fan not working

2000 Rover 25
Car: Rover 25
Year: 2000
Categories: Leaks & Noises
I noticed a leak on radiator so bought a new one. Decided to buy a new fan as well as old one was original and didn't kick in when I removed coolant temp sensor. Fan still doesn't work checked all fuses and relays could it be the temp sensor
Problem added: Nov 9, 2014 (9 years ago)
Fan only cuts in at a very high temp and wont cut in when sensor removed .Easisest way to test would be by bridging sensor .

Just be careful and have a good check on cooling system as those cars very prone to head gasket failure .

Give car a good run today on the daily commute no probs. No leaks heater blowing hot and temp gsuge now takes a while to start moving then stops just under half way. Car is running good at tick over. Does that sound right or should I still get system checked over? Thanks for all your help

Sounds good , might recheck coolant level when cold and top up if needed .Take it you replaced anti freeze ? Just keep an eye on level for a few days .Fingers crossed .
