Regarding the fuses , could check this . Might help ?

According to the information I have the cigar lighter is a 10 amp fuse number 3 in the passenger compartment fusebox and the blower motor is a 20 amp fuse number 17 in the passenger compartment fusebox. Also in the engine compartment fuse box fuse link number 10 which is rated 30 amps controls the blower relay/cigar lighter relay and the heated rear window relay.

Update, checked all fuses and relays, changed the resistor pack which was burnt out so decided to buy a new blower motor only to find that doesnt turn???.
So im now thinking no power going to it, how can I check this and rectify the problem, by the way i am to mechanical solutions as a politician is to telling the truth.......crap.
Please help but be gentle.

Resistor packs are common fault as you have found . You will have to test for power at motor with a test lamp or meter . Also check that the heater motor you fitted is turning freely by hand and not jammed .

As per Wh the Resistor pack is usually a problem on the Car's. Whilst you say you got a new Motor which would have had a Resistor pack on same was it a new unit as opposed to a S/h unit. Check it is getting power and if it is then I suggest you return the purchased item for a replacement. If the Motor is not getting power then I suggest you sort that problem and reinsert the old Motor and purchase a Resistor pack ex E.bay (cheap)then returning the new Motor for a refund.

Problem solved. Result.
Turned out to be quite a simple fix, I borrowed a volt meter to check the switches all power going to the switch but no output.
Changed the switch cost £3 local scrappy, I now have heater blowing on all 4 settings and its hot.
