2002 Rover 25 rattling sound every time i put my foot onto the excelarator! its driving me mad!

When i put my foot onto the excelarator i get a rattling sound. You know when your driving up a hill and you put your foot down a bit more and your car don't like it, you get a little rattling sound. Thats what it sounds like but every time i put my foot onto the excelarator i get the noise. Any ideas what this could be????

hi there, pehaps it could be a exhaust problem also heatshield rattles on the catalyst. trying to diagnose rattles without actually driving the car is very difficult. i would pop to the garage to have it investigated. hope this helps
