2004 Rover 25 engine turns over but wont start

bought as anon starter.engine turns over, plenty of diesel getting to injectors.but wont fire.if i spray easy start in to air intake engine trys to fire.i think this is asensor problem but not sure/

Check that the glow plugs are working first...
