1999 Rover 200 head gasket gone twice in less then a year

Hi Marc, just browsing and see your problem with the head, you have a K series engine which is renowned for head gasket problems, the only solution is to 1] have the head pressure tested as its common for them to crack if overheated, 2] If no cracks are found have the head skimmed by somebody good, 3] Make sure the head and block are squeaky clean before refitting 4]If you are considering re fitting it yourself follow the torque tightening procedure to the letter, If I remember correctly its 25Nm initially and then 2 x 180 degree's, this should solve your problem
