2005 Renault Modus modus fuel filler flap will not open

Hi,
I have tried all the keys and I cannot get the fuel filler flap to open. I have read other boards for other makes that say they have an emergency release but I cannot find one on the modus. Nothing in the manual. Any ideas as fuel is running very low and I do not want to run out.
