2005 Renault Modus dimmed headlights not switching off when entering daylight

My dimmed headlights will not automatically switch off when entering daylight for the first time in the morning. The vehicle has an automatic switch off facility (eye) when entering full light conditions

Sure you haven't accidentally disabled auto headlights ?

Not sure about disabling the headlights. Can you please confirm how I check my headlights status. Thank you.

It should tell you in owners h/book . No idea on that car but on some cars the switch is on the end of one of the the stalks and pushed in to set on/off . Could also be faulty sensor or possibly switch .
