1998 Renault Modus fuel tank pump

just put 70ltsfuel in tank started van got 50yds engine died wont r(estart line from tank to filter empty tried primer bubble but no show of fuel bubble never firms up even after an hour trying removed pipe at filter and sucked fuel up and reconnected [not advised stick to scotch] then few pumps on primer still wont start what i need to know is there a pump on tank sender may be faulty or maybe got some crud pulled up to filter
