I was caught during last years floods and since then I have had a lot of electrical issues. Currently my outside temperature is reading 5 degrees.... high summer? Where will I find the sensor?

Check bottom of door mirror .

Ah eureka !!! Thank you Sir! Now it looks loose and wobbles around so is it an easy thing to remove the mirror and replace the sensor assuming I can get one?

Should be able to get one from dealers or on e bay .Never done one on that car so cant advise .On other cars i.e some Fords , you can unclip mirror cover to remove / change with mirror in position .
