2005 Renault Modus starts then cuts straight out and misses when running

car starts fine but cuts out instantly afterwards, when it does start sometimes it seems to be missing with lack of power,after slowing down and accelarating, then other times it can run fine.anyone have any suggestions on what can be causing it.many thanks. hi to you all. new member.

try changing the fuel filter it may be starved of fuel
