Dipped headlights will not turn off
2005 Renault Modus 1.2

Dipped Headlights will not turn off even when car has engine switched of.Doors locked. have tried various positions on light switch.Have disconnected battery to park over night. This just happened. I was driving behind a car and noticed the reflection of my lights on the rear of the car in front of me.I checked the light switch this was in the off position. HELP.

Does your car have a twilight sensor which automatically brings the lights on in reduced light conditions.

I also have this problem with my '04 Modus. Just started this evening. This model does have an ambient light sensor which will switch on/off the lights, but it's never been problematic up until now.

I've tried every switch/toggle/ignition/door open/closed permutation I can think of and they still won't go off.

Rear lights are off.

Please, anyone have any ideas?
