Timing belt

driving last night, the battery light came on and the stop light, and the steering wheel became heavy, got home and the timing belt was disengaged from the small silver wheels, it looks in good condition(the belt) but stuck with what to do next.....need advice desperately..

It's best to take it to a local mechanic who you know, as it may just be that it came off loose and he can sort that out for you and may not even charge you.

Not the timing belt.
The auxiliary belt, check condition of auto tension idler if it has one fitted.
If it's on a adjuster - refit and set adjustment.
