Is there anyway a coil pack can be tested?
There are 2 coil packs on engine - 1 fires cylinder 1 & 4 and the other fires 2 & 3. The one that fires 1 & 4 had a torn wire so engine was only running on cylinders 2 & 3, had problem fixed and still getting same problem as before (misfire and very low engine revs at idle when hot) so now thinking faulty coil pack, so was wondering how to test them. No faults showed on diagnostic test.

With the engine running you unplug the injectors one at a time.If when you disconnect one the engine speed drops/misfires worse then that coil is working.If the engine speed/note stays the same then that coil is faulty.
