1998 Renault Megane vibration

Check engine mountings .

How would i check the mountings and how would i know if something was wrong with them?

Check for excessive play and movement , especially when put in gear and clutch released , might see engine kick forward / back .

Hi,i think the advise is good that you have already had for the vibration, also try this remedy for low revs and stalling/ from your airbox follow and remove the pipe to the throttle body, run your finger inside the body and check for black contamination on your finger, buy a can of carb cleaner(£5) and spay onto a clean cloth and thourely clean the inside of the throttle body including the butterfly, with cotton buds tight around the edges of the butterfly,carefull not to drop anything inside,you can push the butterfly with cloth in hand and clean as far as you can you can without damaging butterfly, there may be a puff of smoke when car started back up but only burning carb cleaner residue so dont worry it will soon stop. failing that dissconect your battery and leave for at least 30 mins, 2, touch your battery leads together to short out(NOT TERMINALS)3, reconect battery and start your car with no revs at all and leave to tick over till optimum opperating temp ,leave ticking over for at least 15 mins then drive around the block for 15 mins using as many stop starts as you can,but only if the throttle body doesnt work which im pretty sure will solve your prolems, Mitsubishi are charging up to £1500 for new injectors and £700 for ECU,S for this problem when all you need is 2p worth of carb cleaner and a cloth, i know yours isnt a mitsi but they mostly opperate with the same fundimentals, try it and hope it helps you cheers Andy
