2006 Renault Megane fan/heater

Hi, the fan/heater was working until yesterday, then it just stopped. When it was set to 1 or 2 it was nice and quiet - but on 3 or 4 it was making a noise (this started yesterday), then the fan just stopped working. I have checked the fuse and it was fine - I did try a new one too just in case, but its still not working. Does anyone have a clue what/why this would just stop working. Any advice or help will be appreciated.

Could be the heater motor resistor or the motor itself may have failed .This explains heater resistor ,
